CORRIGENDUM TO REASONS FOR JUDGMENT

THE COURT:

1                     In paragraph [35] of the reasons for judgment in this matter (delivered on 29 August 2001) it was said that there was no request made that a five-judge Full Court bench be convened to hear the matter.  This was an error.  On 18 June 2001 the appellant did make a written request of the Chief Justice of this Court that a five-judge bench hear both this matter and that of Repatriation Commission v Williams [2001] FCA 1195 (Federal Court matter number 934 of 2001).  The request was not acceded to; rather, a direction was made that the two matters be listed to be heard, as they were, consecutively before the same Full Court.

I certify that the preceding paragraph is a true copy of the Corrigendum to the Reasons for Judgment of the Full Court
